The requirements for your quality management system are as individual as your company and your product. This is because the legislator typically defines objectives, but not how these are to be achieved.
DIN EN ISO 9001 (?)
DIN EN ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized standard for certified quality management systems. In addition to fulfilling the legal requirements, the focus here is also on proving your company’s ability to meet your customers’ requirements (in a structured and systematic manner). Because “quality is no coincidence”!
Initial evaluation
If your products are subject to approval because they are vehicles or components for vehicles, the legislator also requires proof of the “effectiveness” of the quality management system.
But what does it mean for you?
“Effectiveness” here means that it is up to you to “prove” how you ensure that all products you place on the market meet the requirements. You can find an explanation in less than 1 minute here.
So a lot of bureaucracy for nothing?
No way!
- A good quality management system is always a tool for you and your employees that helps you to do your work better – simplifying work processes, guiding employees and thus reducing the risk of errors and therefore directly and indirectly reducing costs.
- It does not necessarily have to be a certified QMS. Even for products requiring approval, an “effective” quality management system is sufficient for the authorities – even without certification!
So why do we need our help?
For the neutral view from the outside and the knowledge gained from the many quality management systems that our team has already developed.
And because it takes the pressure off your employees.
After an internal audit to determine the current status and a detailed discussion to define your goals, we consult with your employees on specific points – they don’t have to spend much time themselves, but can contribute their needs and requirements in detail – because only then can you be sure that your employees will enjoy using the new “tool”.
