Description

Now in its second edition, the international standard ISO 26262-2018 defines the state of the art with regard to functional safety in the automotive sector.
As soon as a safety-relevant product is to be developed for use in the automotive sector, both knowledge and implementation of this standard are essential. In addition to the expertise in the project team, this also includes reliable planning of the necessary activities. A well-founded overview is therefore helpful in order to reliably plan and implement such a project.

In our basic training course on functional safety, you will be introduced to the basics of the topic using references to the standard and examples. You will be given an overview of the necessary activities, the interrelationships and suggestions on how the standard can be implemented in your organization in practice.

In our basic training course on functional safety, we teach you all the important framework conditions and basic principles arising from the ISO 26262-2018 standard for the organization and implementation of a safety-related project in the automotive sector. This makes it an excellent training course for all employees in development, quality assurance and project management.

What awaits you

The focus is on the ISO 26262-2018 standard, which is used to outline the approach to safety-oriented projects. In addition to the standard approach of a new development, special cases such as the adoption of hardware, software or predecessor systems as well as related topics such as SOTIF (Safety Of The Intended Functionality) in accordance with ISO 21448:2022 are also discussed.

As part of an in-house training course, which we can offer from 4 (number still to be determined based on the individual price, possibly different for online/presence?) participants, we set the focus of the content according to your needs and requirements. It is also possible to extend the training to include workshops in which the theoretical knowledge imparted in the training is applied to the actual circumstances.
