Description
“CoP must be carried out every 2 years!” Do you know this statement? And have you ever thought about where this statement comes from?
Do not accept this statement unchecked for your CoP planning! This is because this statement is typically found in the “Conformity of production” section of the corresponding UN regulation. However, this requirement is addressed to the authority and means that it must review the manufacturer’s/approval holder’s CoP procedures once every 2 years – i.e. it must audit the manufacturer.
If you only carry out the CoP tests for your product every 2 years, it means 2 years of “flying blind” – if you find a non-conformity after 2 years, this can mean that you have to recall all products from the last 2 years!
In our CoP basic training course, we explain to you in a structured way what the specific requirements of the legislator/authority are and how you can meet them.
Optimized CoP planning takes into account actual risks for non-conformities, incorporates your quality assurance and quality management and optimizes both the sample size and the test frequency and type of tests to be carried out. This is because repeating the type approval tests is not what the legislator expects – if it did, it would have given the type approval a time limit.
Our speaker Mark Haacke, who developed this training course with his team, was “Head of Conformity of Production” at a large vehicle manufacturer for 6 years and was responsible for CoP at 7 European vehicle plants. He has been optimizing the CoP processes of suppliers and vehicle manufacturers for many years and has thus been able to build up his knowledge of many companies across the automotive industry.
Description
“Conformity of Production”, or CoP for short, is a legal obligation for all manufacturers of type-approved products.
This affects suppliers and manufacturers alike.
For manufacturers and producers based outside the EU, the CoP requirements also apply to distributors, importers and authorized representatives who import the products into the EU.
In this basic training course, you will learn all the basic legal requirements and how you can implement them in a targeted manner.
The focus is on EU Regulation (EU) 2018/858 and (EU) 2019/2144. Regulations (EU) 2013/167 and (EU) 2013/168 are also taken into account.
Requirements resulting from the new national type approval procedure “Parts type approvals” are also taken into account.
Learning Goal
In our CoP basic training course, we teach you all the important basics of the “Conformity of Production” procedures. This makes it an excellent training course for all employees from development, homologation, CoP, supplier management and quality assurance.
