The new Framework Regulation (EU) 2018/858 (…on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles…) will finally replace the previously applicable Framework Directive 2007/46/EC (…establishing a framework for the approval of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles…) on 01.09.2020.

Even at first glance you can see that there are some changes.

So what does this mean in practice?

Will the previously established approval process remain in place?

Are there any new requirements regarding CoP?

And to what extent are new demands being made with regard to market surveillance and recalls?

Already at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020 I have intensively dealt with the regulation 2018/858, focused on the main changes to the 2007/46/EC and based on this I have created my new training program.
